The Regional Federation of Transport Organizations of Murcia (Froet) has proposed that medical examinations of professional drivers are mandatory and exhaustive, to improve their quality of life, especially for those over 60 years of age. The report points out that transportation workers suffer from illnesses and other workplace disorders such as fatigue, sleep disorders and mental health, cardiovascular disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, smoking, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia ( Or high cholesterol), sedentarism, gastrointestinal or nutritional problems, cancer, musculoskeletal disorders, etc. The director of the Department of Occupational Risk Prevention, Javier Arnal, “the disorder of life they lead accelerates the decline of their physical faculties.
